Who hasn’t ever dreamed about looking like their favorite movie star? Yes, we all have the secret desire to have the looks and style of the gorgeous women who live the Hollywood life and if there is something we can do about it, most certainly will be to change our own hairstyle to a celebrity hairstyle!
Hollywood celebrities often change their hairstyles as often as we do our laundry. They can be brunette one week and blonde the next. Many of their tastes are somewhat fickle, but the women around the world race to copy these looks. They look so perfect and glamorous that we think we will be as successful and pretty as they are by just having the same hairstyle.
Here are some of the hottest hairstyles seen in Hollywood today:
- Long bangs and Shaggy Flips
Alanis Morissette sports this popular hairstyle. Bangs shouldn’t be cut directly across, but longer on the sides and with an angle towards the cheeks.
- Voluptuous Curls
A favorite of many celebrities, this hairstyle’s emphasis is on naturally styled hair. Curls are large, full, and not overwhelming.
- Long Wavy Curls
Always a classic, this style is often favored for red carpet affairs and events.
- Highlighted Blondes
This style is very hot right now, with Glenn Close and Sharon Stone showing off the two-tone styles.
- Straight and Sexy
This sleek style is often paired with dynamic chandelier earrings. It is usually worn with a side part.
Many celebrities will of wear hairstyles that should not have been considered in the first place. Common mistakes include the wrong style for their face, over processed hair, or hair dyed the wrong color for their skin tone. Even though celebrities have many of the concepts and talented hairstylist at their disposal, sometimes they make the wrong decisions, just as we do. The only difference is that it seems that being a star you can get away with it!
Research your favorite hairstyle to be sure the look is right for you. Many tools and resources are available online, including some websites that allow you upload your own pictures and see what styles look like before visiting the salon. This is a terrific way to “try out” a style before a pair of scissors touches your hair. Remember, no matter how your hairstyle turns out, your hair will grow back again!
