How to Cook Curry

Curry is an Indian and Southeast Asian dish. Curry powder is used to add distinctive and hot flavor to food. The flavor is used in many dishes and soups. A typical curry contains chopped garlic, ginger, chilies and onions, which are fried with spices. You can add some mashed tomatoes also. Spices such as cumin powder, turmeric, paprika, coriander powder and little salt are added for making curry. Spices make the curry delicious and hot. After adding all these, add cut vegetables and boil.
You can prepare different types of curries such as chicken curry, fish curry and vegetable curry and so on. Normal Indian curry is easy to prepare. It can be dry, spicy and sauce-based gravy. For cooking curry, you have to use fresh vegetables or meat. To make delicious curries, you have to keep the spices in an airtight container in order to avoid the loss of aroma. Never allow the spices to turn black at the time of cooking. Do not overcook curry as it tends to lose the nutrient contents in vegetables. Use of curry powder does not give the traditional taste of the curry.
Curry is taken along with main dishes and curry makes the dishes more delicious. Turmeric added in the curries has the quality to prevent prostate cancer. Hot curry claims to minimize the chance of hangover after heavy drinking. Another claim is that curry with alcohol can reduce the damage of stomach lining. The turmeric content in curries helps to prevent pancreatic cancer, skin cancer, colon cancer and leukemia. When you eat hot curry, you tend to sweat and profuse sweating lowers the alcohol content in the blood stream. So start making healthy curries and enjoy it in order to make you and your family healthy.
